Giga growth for Benelux pioneer

In 2016, Altor entered into a partnership with the founder of Infotheek. Infotheek offers new, end of life and refurbished IT hardware as well as software and related services to corporations, public organizations and IT resellers. This investment was done at the back-end of Altor’s successful ten-year ownership of Dustin – the leading online IT reseller in the Nordics. Through a combination of organic growth and M&A, revenues have tripled in the Infotheek Group. The company has also been pioneering the market for refurbished IT-hardware, an important circular offering.

Over the three years, Infotheek Group has consolidated the Benelux B2B IT reseller market through the merger of its end-user business with Centralpoint and Scholten Awater. The three entities combined represent the clear market leader in the B2B space, with strongholds in public tenders, large corporate, mid-market and SMB.

Now united under the Centralpoint brand, the Company is clearly the largest IT reseller in the Benelux region in general and in the Netherlands in particular. After the successful integration, the strategy is now to drive solution-based selling and growth across segments, especially within workspace, but also to increase focus on the service and software offering. Next to this, the distribution part of the “old” Infotheek, has been renamed FlexIT Distribution and is a leading European circular IT distributor, focused on distributing and renting out refurbished IT products.

Dressed for success

“We were born on Facebook with just a few hundred customers. Today our social media following is over 500 000 people. Without Facebook we would still have been stuck in my father’s garage - where it all started” says Pernilla Nyrensten, founder and CEO of RevolutionRace.
