Copenhagen Sustainability Student Analyst 2023/2024

We are looking for a new Sustainability Student Analyst for one of the leading private equity investors in Northern Europe.

About the job

As a Sustainability Student Analyst at Altor, you will become an integral part of Altor’s sustainability team in Copenhagen. The job will provide you with a steep learning curve through exposure to a wide range of work tasks, including:

  • Supporting sustainability processes in relation to screening and sourcing of potential investment targets e.g. sustainability due diligence
  • Steering the implementation of the firm’s sustainability strategy by working with current processes and projects, including Science Based Target initiative rollout
  • Engaging with investment teams and portfolio companies to assess and act upon sustainability-related value creation opportunities, and/or potential exposure to sustainability-related risks
  • Assisting in the annual sustainability performance monitoring process based on portfolio company reporting of sustainability metrics
  • Supporting Altor’s response and reporting in alignment with sustainability regulations e.g. EU Taxonomy, SFDR, CSRD etc.
  • Supporting to develop presentations and communication materials to management teams, investors, regulators, and other stakeholders on sustainability-related matters
  • Supporting to raise awareness and build capacity in relation to sustainable investing across the firm

Your profile
We are seeking a 2nd or 3rd year bachelor student or 1st year master student from a natural sciences, environmental studies, economics or business background. During your studies, you have achieved outstanding academic credentials and ideally have experience from other student jobs or internships. In addition, you have the following characteristics:

  • High motivation and affinity to sustainability which is reflected in your studies, an internship or work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Danish is a bonus)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to process and interpret data
  • As a person you are proactive, energetic, self-driven team player
  • You are motivated to experience Private Equity and potentially plan a career within sustainable investing, sustainability consulting or similar after completed studies
  • Previous consulting experience is a bonus
