Fredrik Strömholm steps down as partner at Altor – joins Board of Altor Fund IV

Fredrik Strömholm, one of the founders of Altor, has decided to wind down his engagement as Partner within Altor Equity Partners to focus on healthcare investments outside Altor. In conjunction with this Fredrik has accepted to be elected to the Board of Altor Fund IV.
“Fredrik has been instrumental in the success of Altor“ Harald Mix, Partner of Altor Equity Partners, comments. “We have worked together for 15 years, therefore I am happy to see that Fredrik will continue in a Board role but we can also see a number of exciting opportunities to cooperate between Altor and his new healthcare investment venture.”

“The time with Altor has exceeded all of my expectations, therefore I am happy to continue supporting Altor – but now from a Board position. Most of the investments I have been in charge of at Altor have been within the healthcare sector, and I would now like to focus on the sector, but in a size below Altor’s scope.”

Altor Equity Partners has promoted Johan Blomquist to Partner; Johan has worked on investments such as Apotek Hjärtat, Ferrosan, EuroCater and Aalborg Industries.

“While it is always unfortunate to see exceptional individuals like Fredrik leave the firm, it is absolutely crucial to let young talents grow.“ Mr Mix continues. “With this change we not only keep the relationship with Fredrik, simultaneously we get the opportunity to promote a talented person like Johan”.
