Copenhagen Sustainability Student Analyst 2025
We are looking for a Sustainability Student Analyst to join one of the leading private equity investors in Northern Europe.
About the job
As a Sustainability Student Analyst at Altor, you will become an integral part of Altor’s sustainability team in Copenhagen. The job will involve a wide range of work tasks, providing a variety of learning and growth opportunties, including:
- Supporting sustainability processes in relation to screening and sourcing of potential new investment targets (e.g. sustainability due diligence)
- Supporting the implementation of the firm’s sustainability strategy by working with current processes and projects, such as our commitment to the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) and meeting our obligations related to our impact fund (ACT I)
- Engaging with investment teams and portfolio companies to improve sustainability-related performance, drive value creation opportunities, and/or assess potential exposure to sustainability-related risks
- Supporting the annual sustainability performance monitoring process based on the portfolio company reporting of sustainability metrics
- Supporting Altor’s annual sustainability reporting in alignment with sustainability regulations and standards (e.g. EU Taxonomy, SFDR, CSRD etc)
- Developing presentations and communication materials to management teams, investors, regulators, and other stakeholders on sustainability-related matters
- Supporting to raise awareness and build capacity in relation to sustainable investing across the firm
Your profile
We are seeking a 2nd or 3rd year bachelor student or 1st year master student from a natural sciences, environmental studies, economics or business background. During your studies, you have achieved outstanding academic credentials and ideally have experience from other student jobs or internships (e.g. strategy consulting, in-house roles). In addition, you have the following characteristics:
- High motivation and passion for sustainability, demonstrated through studies, internship, or work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Danish is a bonus)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, to process and interpret data effectively
- As a person you are proactive, energetic, self-driven team player, with a collaborative mindset
- Keen interest in Private Equity, with aspirations to pursue a career in sustainable investing, sustainability consulting or similar after completing your studies.
