Toteme is based in Stockholm and has grown into a truly global brand with a vast majority of sales outside the Nordics. In June 2021, Altor partnered with the founders, the CEO, and other existing shareholders to support Toteme in its next growth phase to accelerate global expansion through own online channels and prioritized high-end online and offline retailers, supported by a growing footprint of own stores. The founding couple remain as majority shareholders and highly active in the company as part of the management team and board.

Toteme is a digital native brand with a vast majority of sales online of which a significant share is direct-to-consumer, with a growing footprint of own stores to support sales, brand building and enable proximity to customers. As of Q3 2022 Toteme operates five stores globally across Stockholm, Shanghai and New York with further roll-out planned in prioritized markets over the coming years.
